Facility- Residence

System Specs- 30 MAGE Solar Module: Powertec Plus 230/6PI, 2 Solectria inverters. System Size: 6.9 kW

Spotlight- This system was designed with a 5- 6 year payback period, with an average monthly utility savings of $136 over system life. The system will reduce green house gas emissions by 133 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span. This is equivalent to planting 5,312 trees.

Facility- Yarmouth- Dennis Septage Treatment Facility

System Specs- This roof mounted array was financially structured as a power purchase agreement and designed by Waterline Alternative Energies to include 1,200 Canadian Solar 230W panels, a Solectria SGI 266 inverter and a Sunlink ballasted racking system. System Size: 276 kW 

Spotlight-  The system will generate approximately 300,000 kWh of electricty annually and will save the towns $33,000 of utility expenses in the first year alone.

Facility - R.P. Valois & Company

System Specs - 112 Opsun 295W modules, 3 Solectria inverters, UniRac Solarmount racking system. System Size: 33 kW

Spotlight - This system was designed with a 6 year payback period, with an average monthly utility savings of $570 over system life.  The system will reduce green house gas emissions by 612 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span.  This is equivalent to planting 24,492 trees.

Facility - Residence

System Specs- 18 Mage 230 watt modules, 1 Solectria PVI 240V inverter. System Size: 4.14 kW

Spotlight - This solar system was designed with an 8 year pay-back period and will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 88 tons of CO2 over its 25 year
life span.  This is equivalent to planting 3,500 trees.  The rate of return on cash invested is 12.2% and the system saves them $135 per month in energy bills!

Facility - Lighthouse Inn

System Specs -120 Canadian Solar CSP-250M modules and 5 Solectria PVI-5300 inverters. System Size: 27 kW

Spotlight - This system will reduce Green House Gas emissions by 507 tons for over 25 years! This is equivalent to planting 20,292 trees and a small car traveling 1,719,661 miles.

Facility - Residence

System Specs - 10 Canadian Solar 225 watt modules, Ready Solar racking system, 10 Enphase micro- inverters. System Size: 2.25 kW

Spotlight - This homeowner now saves over $64 a month over the 25+ lifespan of the system. His rate of return on cash invested is 14.4%. Savings grow over 184% of the life of the system and his bill is reduced by 47%. The payback period is 7 years and the system will reduce green house gas emissions by 45 tons which is equivalent to planting 1,796 trees.

Spotlight - This system has generated 58,894 kWh of energy and has offsett 73,617 LBS. of CO2 emissions.

System Specs - Dining Hall: 104 Canadian Solar 230 watt modules, 4 Solectria PVI5300 inverters. Pavilion: 63 Canadian Solar 230 watt modules, 3 Solectria PVI 5300and 1 PVI 3000 single phase inverters.  Art Bulding: 6 Ready Solar Kits. System Size: 21 kW

 

 

Location - Fall River, MA

Facility - Former Mill Building converted into a warehouse and garage used as a storage facility for LAL Construction and Pleasant Street Rentals.

System Specs - 187 Opsun 295W Solar modules, 1 Solectria Inverter, PVI60kW , UniRac Solarmount racking system. System Size- 55.16 kW

Spotlight -Over the 25 year system life, the utility savings is $196,426 which equals over $655 a month in utility bill savings. The payback period is under five years with a total 311% total life-cycle payback.  The system will reduce Green House gas emissions by 1,158 tons of CO2 over 25 years. This is equivalent to planting 46,492 trees.

Spotlight -Over the 25 year system life, the utility savings is $53,396 which equals over $178 a month in utility bill savings. The system will reduce Green House gas emissions by 272 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span. This is equivalent to planting 10,888 trees.

Facility - Mattapoisett Self Storage

System Specs - 550 Opsun 295 watt modules, 2 Solectria 82 kW inverters, S5 Mounting system. System Size: 162.25 kW

Spotlight - Over the 25 year system life, the utility savings is $705,595, which equals over $2000 a month in utility bill savings. The system will reduce Green House gas emissions by 3,070 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span. This is equivalent to planting 122,784 trees.

Spotlight - The solar system is designed with an amazing 3.5 year payback and will reduce Green House gas emissions by 284 tons of CO2 over its 25 year life span. This is equivalent to planting 11,372 trees. The rate of return on cash invested is 21% and the the system saves them $274 a month in energy bills!

 Tangerini Farm

Location - Fall River, MA

Provided - Project design and all solar components. System installed and commissioned by Solar Installation LLC.

Facility -
Spectrum Lighting 120,000 sq ft manufacture, showroom and office facility.

System Specs - 299 Canadian Solar 200 watt modules and Solectria inverter, new SolarDock mounting system.  System size: 58.8kW

Spotlight - Prior to installation the roof was also refinished with a TPO white membrane which dramatically decreases the cooling costs, increases the roof's life span and the solar array's power output. The system is expected to pay for itself within four years.  It will reduce Green House Gas emissions by 1,256 tons of CO2 over 25 years.

Facility - Nock Elementary School, Edward G. Molin Middle School & the town's DPW building.

System Specs - 502kW system is comprised of 2,184 230w modules and two 5kW inverters.  The photovoltaic system's power output is equivalent to 70 homes per year and will offset 402 tons of carbon output per year.

Ameresco, the City of Newburyport, Canadian Solar and Munro Distributing attend ceremony to recognize 502 kW solar project at Rupert Nock Middle School

Dec. 13, 2010 (Business Wire) -- Ameresco, Inc. (NYSE:AMRC), a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company, held a ceremony today at the Rupert Nock Middle School in Newburyport, MA to recognize the City of Newburyport Solar project and present a donation to the City. The project, one of the largest early municipal solar photovoltaic installations in the Commonwealth, produces 502 kW of clean, renewable electricity.  

As part of its 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the City, Ameresco designed, financed and installed the 2,000 panel rooftop solar project, which was installed on three municipal buildings including the Rupert Nock Middle School, the Edward G. Molin Upper Elementary School and the Department of Public Works Building (DPW). The projects went online in September 2009 and have generated enough clean energy to offset 402 tons of carbon dioxide annually, which is the equivalent of planting more than 8,000 trees. In addition, to provide Newburyport's children with a learning experience, Ameresco installed a lobby LCD panel in the Middle School and a special software package that makes rooftop weather and solar PV production data available online for the science classrooms...

Spotlight - Along with being one of the largest solar projects on the South Shore, it's also one of the quickest paybacks of any our projects-under 5 years! The system will reduce Green House Gas Emissions by 3,730 tons of CO2 over 25 years and is equivalent to planting 149,184 trees. Installation was performed by Solar Installation Limited.

Provided - System design and all solar components for a 98kW system in the spring of 2009.  In Dec of 2009, we provided consulting and an additional 100kw worth of PV modules, racking and inverters for Phase II of the 500,000 sqft Trade Center 128

Facility Type -  Cumming's Properties flagship green office building, the TradeCenter128.  A LEED Gold, 500,000 sqft office complex with a 900-car parking garage.

System Specs - 98 kW DC power , 518 Canadian Solar Modules, 2 Solectria Grid-Tied Inverters, UniRac Mounting System, Estimated Annual Production: 109,289 kWh 

Spotlight - Partially funded by a grant by the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, the array will generate an upwards of 10 percent of the common area lighting and HVAC systems at the facility.

Spotlight - Savings will equal $121,385 in utility bills over the next 25 years.  It will offset 424 tons of carbon over its lifetime which is equivalent to 16,960 trees planted.

Spotlight - When the Massachusetts' Department of Conservation & Recreation needed an off-grid PV system with a battery back-up for George's Island new maintenance facility Munro Solar made the cut.  We provided the right techniques and products for this unique challenge.  We created a reliable 32kW system that will keep this 39 acre National Historic Landmark running no matter what happens on the mainland.
